Subscription and billing
What happens when a payment fails — the answer is surprising, and worth knowing.
4 minUpdated
You change plan under Settings → Billing. The change takes effect immediately and the amount is prorated. The payment portal, reachable from the same page, lets you change card, download invoices and cancel.
If a payment fails
Your site will never be taken down
Your domain points at us: cutting the service would cut your site. So we never do. If a payment fails or you cancel, traffic keeps being relayed to your server — filtering stops, the service does not.
- 1
Fifteen days of grace
Protection is maintained while you sort it out. You get an email before any suspension.
- 2
Then suspension
The site stays online and served, without inspection. Configuration screens and monitoring pause; your history stays readable.
- 3
Reactivation
Taking out a subscription again restores protection immediately, with no new DNS cutover and no new verification.
Moving to a smaller plan
No site is ever deleted. Beyond the new plan's quota, extra sites are simply relayed without protection, and you choose which ones keep it.
Cancelling does not take us out of your path: your DNS still points at us. To leave completely, follow Leaving Zyre.
