Verify your domain
The TXT record proving the domain belongs to you.

Before relaying a domain's traffic we must be sure it is yours. The proof is a TXT record: a small public note attached to your domain name, which only someone with access to the DNS zone can create.

Where to do it
In your domain's DNS zone, at whoever its nameservers point to. The wizard shows the exact menu path for about twenty hosts.
How long it takes
Usually a few minutes, sometimes up to 48 hours. If verification fails right after you add it, that is not an error: the new record is simply not visible everywhere yet. Try again a little later.
Do not remove it too early
Keep the record for as long as the site is with us. You will remove it when you leave — the offboarding page reminds you.
