Uptime, certificate and bots

What Zyre watches besides attacks, and how to read each indicator.

3 minUpdated

Uptime

We query your site at regular intervals and record whether it answers correctly. An incident opens when it stops responding and closes when it returns. It is your origin that is tested: an incident points to a problem at your host, not at ours.

Certificate

The certificate showing the padlock is issued and renewed automatically by Zyre for domains routed through us. You have nothing to install or renew. The screen shows its issuer and expiry date.

Bot analysis

Automated visits are sorted into three buckets, based on what the visitor declares and what a check can confirm:

BucketWhat it means
VerifiedDeclares itself a known crawler (Google, Bing…) and the check confirms it. Useful traffic, to be let through.
UnverifiedDeclares itself a known crawler without confirmation. Impersonating a crawler name is the most common disguise.
UndeclaredDoes not declare itself a robot. This is where nearly all of your real visitors are.

This classification describes traffic, it does not block it. An unverified robot is not refused for that reason: it is inspected like any visit, and only its hostile requests are stopped.
