Leaving Zyre

Hand your DNS back to your host, in the right order, without taking your site down.

Leaving should be as simple as arriving. The Offboarding page reminds you, site by site, which DNS record to restore at your host — your origin address, the one we kept.

Order matters

Restore the DNS first, delete the site afterwards. The other way round, your domain would still point at us while we no longer knew where to relay: your visitors would get an error. That is why deletion is refused while DNS still points at us — not a commercial lock-in, a safety catch.

Note the address to restore
The page shows the recorded origin with its date. If you have changed host since without telling us, check it with them: we do not re-verify it continuously.

Change your DNS zone
Point your domain's A (or CNAME) record back at that address, along with the www version.

Wait for propagation
The check button tells you whether your domain still routes through us. While it says yes, delete nothing.

Clean up
Remove the _zyre-verify TXT record and the /.well-known/zyre-origin-verify file. Then delete the site from the dashboard.

Your invoices remain available in the payment portal after cancellation. Your personal data can be exported or deleted from your profile.
